Medicare Supplement Plans - also known as Medigap - help cover the out-of-pocket costs that Original Medicare (Parts A and B) doesn’t, including deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance. These plans give you more predictable coverage, fewer financial surprises, and the freedom to see providers without network restrictions.

What Medicare Supplement Plans Cover:
Support where original Medicare leaves off
Medigap plans are standardized, meaning the benefits stay consistent across insurers. These plans help cover:
• Medicare Part A deductibles, daily co-pays & Part B co-insurance
• Co-insurance and Hospital costs beyond day 60
• The 20% for outpatient services under Part B
• Excess charges from doctors who don’t accept Medicare’s standard rates
• Emergency medical care while traveling outside the U.S. (in some plans)
There are no networks—you can see any provider nationwide who accepts Medicare.
How Medicare Supplement Plans Work:
Predictable costs and Guaranteed Renewability
Medigap plans work with Original Medicare—not in place of it. You keep all your Medicare benefits, with fewer bills after each visit.
• Guaranteed renewable as long as you pay your premium
• Fixed monthly premiums with no surprise copays
• No referrals needed—see any Medicare provider
• Does not include drug coverage. You’ll need a separate Part D plan
Popular options include Plan G, Plan N, and Plan F (if you were eligible before 2020). I’ll walk you through the differences so you can choose with confidence.

When Can You Enroll:
Your Best Enrollment Window for Medicare Supplements
Your six-month Medigap Open Enrollment Period begins when you’re 65 and enrolled in Medicare Part B. During this time, you have guaranteed issue rights, meaning:
• No medical underwriting
• No coverage denials for pre-existing conditions
• Access to the best available pricing
You may also qualify for guaranteed issue outside this window if you’ve lost employer coverage, left a Medicare Advantage plan, or experienced other qualifying events. I’ll help you understand where you stand and what your options are.
